About Anne-Marie Birkill
Anne-Marie Birkill is a co-Founder, Venture Partner and executive director at OneVentures, a later-stage venture capital firm focused on scaling technology and healthcare companies through growth equity and credit. Since 2010, OneVentures has launched seven funds, investing in transformative founders who are building for the future. OneVentures leverages its operational expertise and provides hands-on guidance to support businesses through their strategic growth phases. She is a director for OneVentures portfolio company Madorra. She is also a director for UniQuest, InterFinancial Corporate Finance Limited and PPK Group Limited (ASX:PPK). Her previous roles include Chair of the Board for Charm Health, CEO of i.lab Incubator, various senior management appointments at UniQuest and Director of energy storage company RedFlow Limited (ASX:RFX), plus 15 years in leadership roles in agri-business companies developing and commercialising new cultivars of ornamental, aquatic, food and forestry plants. An active member of the innovation community, she is Chair of the UQ-lead Traliblazer Food and Beverage Accelerator Project Investment Committee and a Member if the Industry Steering Committee; an Industry Fellow with The UQ Business School; and a director for UniQuest. A strong advocate for improving the participation of women in technology and entrepreneurial careers, she co-founded Women in Biotech (a chapter of WiT) and has been a Director for Women in Technology and Springboard Australia, and continues to be involved in mentoring and education programs that encourage and support women in science, technology and entrepreneurial careers. She is one of the inaugural AIC Champions of Change.

The program will provide grants between $50,000 and $5 million on a co-investment basis of one dollar of government funding for each one dollar of the applicant’s investment.Update 28 August 2013: The Australian Government, as part of the commitment to deliver savings by abolishing the Carbon Tax, announced its intention to discontinue funding for the Clean Technology Program which it expects will generate $0.4 billion in budgetary savings.
