Currently standing as the CEO of Oak & Mie B.V., my journey as a change-maker began through navigating new frontiers, where I developed a sharp eye for that “aha!” moment. Fleeting and powerful, these moments have led me to various corners of the world, including South Africa, North America, and, presently, Europe. If we give these moments a stage, it can open the floodgates for collaboration, innovation, and real change that can carve out a legacy.Our passions drive our greatest adventures, and mine have taken me into exciting currents where international brands and voices come together to create something dynamic. My studies in South Africa saw a chapter within DRTV, along with early entrepreneurship in housewares distribution (Premium Brand Housewares Ltd) and experiential retail (Liv’In Batterie de Cuisine), both of which set the pace for business development with global panache. I needed to stretch my legs, so in 2016 we found a new base in The Netherlands, which quickly became our new home. Inspired by the country’s impactful innovation and energized communities, I found myself coexisting with champions of real change, individuals who lead with their passions and connect our world through their own passion projects. Founder, Ceo, DirectorLiv'In Batterie De Cuisine (Pty) Ltd Nov 2009 - Mar 2015Pretoria Area, South AfricaLiv’In - The Art of Living InLiv’In was founded in November 2009 by Annemie and Justin Fourie, as a Retail Kitchenware Boutique Brand Shop that specialised in providing the South African consumer with a premium, forever growing “Batterie de Cuisine”, a complete toolbox to choose from as they walk, grow and venture into the world of eating well, and sharing great food around a table.Liv’In opened their first Retail Store in Dec 2009 and grew to became the largest independent cookshop in South Africa with 9 (6 company owned and 3 franchised) retail stores, all with the purpose of brand building and marketing the products/brands distributed by Annemie's distribution company. By placing the best brands in the best light Liv'In connected people, passion, innovation... offering an experience new to the South African market.All stores come kitted with a fully equipped interactive demonstration station, enabling customers to chop, dice, peel, create and have loads of fun. The biggest milestone was the opening of their flagship store of 360m² on 27 April 2012 which apart from its retail section also included a 50 seater restaurant and a cooking school that could accommodate a class of 18 cooking hands-on. Customers could now experience all the brands by using them in the restaurant, cooking with them in the action kitchen by attending a class or special events with the in-house Liv’In Chef.
