Two Rivers Press is a small independent publisher based in Reading, publishing around 10 poetry, art and local history books per year. I am the managing publisher, working closely with a small team, and fantastic authors and poets, to produce beautifully designed and well written books.

Two Rivers Press is a small independent publisher based in Reading, publishing around 10 poetry, art and local history books per year. I handle metadata, sales, marketing, the website, and generally pitch in with anything that needs doing. I joined the board in March 2018.

Arc Humanities Press publish research level academic books with a focus on the Medieval and Early Modern periods. I provide advice and decision making for Arc's marketing and sales distribution strategy, and handle metadata and information flow. I also work closely with Arc's marketing and distribution partners in the US and in Europe.

I have an active portfolio of found art photographs. I create semi-abstract images from the real world, and capture serendipitous human traces. The essence of photography for me is that it captures a fleeting instance of beauty, of humour, of surprise. The photograph captures this and allows these moments to be studied in depth and at leisure.

Key responsibilities included managing the relationship with LUP's North American distributor Oxford University Press, sales and marketing for the Press's digital collections, and the provision of market intelligence relating to a range of areas including the academic ebook supply chain, metadata, and wider industry trends.

Active involvement with a range of issues, including marketing and sales distribution strategy within the US and globally, information flow, promotion for new books and series, sales reporting, ebook distribution, textbook adoptions and journal subscriptions. Working with MIP's marketing and distribution partners in the US and in Europe.

Responsible for a department with 38 staff, and an output of over 800 books per year. Ensured a high quality of editorial and production standards and author care, balanced with cost effective, timely and efficient systems and processes.

Marketing Director for Ashgate and Gower for the UK and Rest of World regions. Responsible for a department with 20 staff, marketing Ashgate’s Humanities, Social Sciences, Aviation and Human Factors books, as well as Gower’s Professional Business books. Had direct ownership and management of Ashgate’s social media presence, including the blog (Wordpress).
