Senior Finance Officer
Current• Financial Management and Reporting: - Oversee financial operations for multiple projects- Prepare and analyse comprehensive financial reports - Implement and maintain robust internal control systems. • Grants and Donor Compliance: - Manage financial aspects of grants from international donors. - Conduct financial reviews of sub-recipients. - Prepare and submit timely, accurate financial reports to donors. • Budgeting and Cost Analysis: - Lead the annual budgeting process. - Perform regular budget variance analysis. - Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts. • System Implementation and Process Improvement: - Spearhead the implementation and optimization of Navision (Sylogist) financial management system, enhancing efficiency and accuracy of financial processes. - Develop and implement standardized financial procedures and policies across the organization, improving consistency and control. • Team Leadership and Capacity Building: - Manage, mentor and motivate a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. - Conduct regular training sessions for both finance and non-finance staff on financial management best practices and donor compliance requirements. • Audit and Risk Management: - Coordinate and facilitate external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of recommendations. - Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework, regularly assessing and mitigating financial risks. • Strategic Financial Planning: - Contribute to organizational strategy by providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership. - Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement, supporting the organization's financial sustainability.
