My role and responsibilities with TfNSW are multi-dimensional, encompassing all aspects of RTO management; as well as overseeing quality and compliance for all training-related activity. The RTO manages nationally-recognised programs for delivery to TfNSW and Transport Agency employees. I manage a small team of compliance experts who administer our QMS and our funding contracts, and ensure our programs are of a high quality. A particular highlight is participating in the Rail Industry Reference Committee with AIS to develop a new rail safety-critical unit of competency.

As the Manager VET I was responsible for the development, accreditation and ongoing quality assurance of VET programs across all colleges on the Think: Colleges Pty Ltd. scope of registration. My challenges included developing and implementing an internal audit regime that added value and assisted in making improvements to our VET programs.

I set up, lead and ensured compliance for Queensland Rail's Registered Training Organisation (RTO) including managing the company's scope of registration. Due to my leadership and expertise, Queensland Rail passed both its initial registration audit AND its 12 month post-initial audit with no items to rectify – a fantastic and almost unheard of result.I actively participated as a committee member on the industry peak body ERTOA (Enterprise RTO Association) and also represented Queensland Rail on committees with the Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council and EE-Oz.
