Optimized acquisition cost based on customer lifetime value and timed media spend to maintain apps in top 10 during key holiday season.• Drove eBook adoption through integrated promotions across retail / web / mobile platforms, and dynamically adjusted promotional strategies based on social media reaction.• Rolled out Best Buy launch of NOOK devices and B&N gift cards in >1000 stores. SOCIAL MEDIA • Generated significant sales through B&N’s social media engagement program, with titles regularly reaching the B&N Top 100 bestseller list after being featured in B&N/NOOK social media.• Systemized social media monitoring and reporting, including off-hours coverage by customer service staff. Identified service issues and funneled product enhancement suggestions to engineers.GIFT CARDS• P&L responsibility for B&N gift cards, one of the largest and most well-respected gift card programs in the retail industry. Drove product development, sales, and marketing across B&N retail stores, BN.com, third-party distributors, and corporate sales channels. Grew gift card sales from $290M to $450M.CREDIT CARDS• Launched and managed Barnes & Noble MasterCard program, creating significant revenue stream for Company while offering compelling customer value proposition. Delivered $5M in annual profits and acquired 100,000 cardholders.
