What makes me excited to get up in the morning? Helping others. Every day as I go to work at a medical safety net clinic in Wyandotte County, I know lives are being enriched. People with no insurance are getting great medical care. I have enjoyed working in Kansas City ever since I graduated from KU. I started at Hallmark Cards working in the Advertising and Hallmark Hall of Fame division. I was there for 6 years. Hallmark taught me the value of relationships, especially in the business community. The other great Kansas City based company that I have worked for is H&R Block. I spent 10 years in the marketing department focused on National Promotions and Sponsorship. Both companies believe in volunteering and giving back to the community and I have kept those values with me.Two decades of corporate work taught me so much.
