AES is a professional employer organization (PEO) providing outsourced HR and employer compliance services for small and mid-sized Canadian businesses and for international organizations with a modestly-sized or remote workforce in Canada. Clients without in-house local employment expertise, full-time HR staff or payroll infrastructure rely on AES to manage their local workforce recruiting, payroll, benefits, contracting, government remittances and other HR needs professionally and cost-effectively, in compliance employer regulatory requirements. AES serves its local and international clients from offices in Brampton (Greater Toronto Area), Cambridge and Listowel, Ontario.

I led business planning and strategy for the Toronto office, overseeing integrated legal operations including talent, client services, innovation, process improvement and financial management. I was a member of the firm-wide Partnership Board, and worked with the firm’s Chair on several national projects and client initiatives.I am the editor of Stikeman Elliott’s Legal Operations Exchange blog, which provides updates, insights and resources on optimizing legal service delivery.

In this role, I led business development strategies and client programs, pricing and alternative fee strategies, compensation, talent management, partnership promotion, diversity, and knowledge management and acted on the Toronto office Finance Committee, Business Development Committee, Diversity Committee, Women's Initiatives Committee, and Associates Committee.
