For more than 35 years, I have advised government, public companies, private companies and high net worth individuals, including developers, landlords and tenants, on all aspects of property law. This involves: providing timely advice on property matters; efficient due diligence; and efficient production and implementation of purchase, sale and leasing documentation to address clients’ commercial needs.I have expertise in advising:* on the purchase and development of land for commercial, industrial and residential use* developers on strata and community developments, including addressing staging and structuring issues and drafting by-laws * landlords on leasing arrangements for commercial buildings, shopping centres and industrial estates including drawing up the lease documentation, negotiating leasing terms with tenants and finalising the documentation up to registration (as required)* on the purchase of commercial office buildings and industrial estates, including preparing due diligence documentation and advising on leasing portfolios* on the sale of properties, including preparing contracts and assisting with negotiations * retail tenants on national leasing arrangements, including negotiating standard lease terms with major shopping centres* due diligence through conveyancing, including providing advice on title issues such as covenants, limitations, restrictions, easements and zoning* identifying and acquiring easements* rezoning and subdivision.Over the years, I’ve acted on behalf of some of Australia’s largest companies in relation to their property portfolios.
