For many years I have worked in the retail sector at just about every level. Sales, management, buying and commercial retail real estate. I learned primarily from Neiman Marcus in their Executive Training Program in Dallas, Texas, often taught by Mr. Marcus, himself. After years in the apparel business, I moved to London to do consulting work for American retailers investing in businesses in the U.K. Three years later I moved to Chicago and worked for Heitman Financial, a pension fund advisor who invested in commercial real estate. I was a leasing manager for several years until I left to have a family. Currently, I am on the President of the Pete Brown Jr Tennis Program in the inner city of Los Angeles. It is a 501C organization that provides free year-round tennis and academics for minority underserved children.
