Manage communications for the KU Biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum, an academic research center with 16 research divisions and a top-rated public museum. Promote research, K-12 and community programs and manage all aspects of social media including analytics. Develop promotional news releases and liaison with the KU News Service, manage digital and print graphics, create a monthly newsletter, and curate two science communication event series. Other responsibilities include managing the website and a range of special projects. Serve as part of the organization's administrative team, working closely with core staff and the director, and advise internal units on communications. Collaborate regularly with a variety of people including KU faculty, students and staff, the museum’s Advisory Board, campus and community partners, and the public.
