Managed the overall data center migration program that included the final migration of 54 applications, (including both Epic and Cerner EHS’s), over 2000 devices (servers, VM servers, storage arrays, network switches and telephony circuits) and rebuilt 120 VPN tunnels. Coordinated all remote access users to migrate from Cisco AnyConnect to F5. Migrated all devices associated to the older Network Time Protocol (NTP) to the new NTP. Reported weekly status to multiple teams.

• Liaison for the Project Management Office (PMO) and the Research & Development (R & D) group. Successfully built out the framework for the R & D team to utilize the benefits of the PMO. • Managed a project evaluating various vendors for Next Generation Primary and Secondary storage and working with Google implementing Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Supported a program to improve the estimation of needed memory, storage and CPU usage, with the potential of saving millions of dollars in a short term. Highlights included storage evaluation, implementation of AWS, AI/ML, Rules Engines, and Demand Planning. Created extensive reporting dashboards & metrics.

Managed the planning and moving of all applications and hardware to co-location facilities. Work includes tracking and managing the infrastructure setup of networks, hardware and software for the new data center. Migrated applications (both Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and internally developed) to the new infrastructure. Managed the upgrades of software solutions and their infrastructure platform.

Managed the Data Center Migration from San Diego to Orlando. The headquarters were in the mist of relocating across the county causing a resource influx. Ran daily stand-up meetings to track 3-4 projects/releases running simultaneously. Tracked issues and worked with cross-functional teams to define resolutions. Weekly reporting on the budget and managed all on boarding of new employees, which was running about 2-3 people a week.

Leading multiple cross-functional project teams and delivering a software implementation projects from the assessment phase to solution deployment and transfer to business using a Spinnaker defined methodology that initially Agile methodology utilizing Scrum but ends with the waterfall methodology, Frequent collaboration with the all levels of the management team focusing on strategy, planning, execution and delivery of the JDA tool, enhancements in existing JDA modules and process improvement of existing internal processes that relate to JDA. Work to manage project expectations, with daily and weekly communications and status reports. Create presentations and updated roadmap and present to key stakeholders. Transitioned IT group from Waterfall to Agile methodology, using Scrum to run three simultaneous e-Commerce software implementations. Managed methodology adoption and transition through effective communication, training sessions, and use case scenarios. This methodology was new to Union Bank and I provided training sessions and guidance to the team. Led two IT professional scrum teams, to perform planning, development, and testing on a large software development, implementation and integration for two related projects. Conducted all Scrum related activities, including sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint retrospective, and client demos, while concurrently training the IT professionals on the Scrum process. Responsible for ensuring that all activities assigned to the Scrum team were performed in a timely manner including resolving all technical issues, while maintaining the highest quality of development. Excelled at removing obstacles and managing risks to enable team efficiency and effectiveness. Created and maintained relevant metrics and published a daily dashboard so that the team and the customer could see how they are doing; leveraged metrics to continuously improve the team’s efficiency and performance. Acted as the liaison between developers/testers and project stakeholders. Made sure all activities were tracked and kept up to date, and reported on a daily basis. Later assigned to a project needing more attention, for the bank as the Technical Project Lead, which combines the roles of project manager, and technical point of contact for the business.

Managed the user recertification process for 100+ applications. Created integrated program plan and allocated resource plan related to each application. Directed project managers for other groups to deliver on time the needed data. Ensured user access compliance with development plans and monitors data extracts. Responsible for delivering extracts to meet the schedule. Led the program execution and stand-up meetings, and managed the website that tracks progress of each application. Developed SharePoint site to allow easier project implementation in upcoming years.

Managed the programming and design of new capital project. Worked with the key IT project leaders, to deliver on schedule, within budget, high quality, sustainable, cost effective, and appropriate to the client's needs. Worked with the professional design staff; coordinated the activities of clients, design professionals (architect, engineers, etc.) and contractor’s inspectors; monitored project progress, cost, and quality; resolved problems that arise in the project; worked with agency officials to ensure compliance and safety. Proposed solutions to a wide range of technical problems and liaise with vendors in technical, engineering and troubleshooting matters. Held focus group seminars, with variety of participants from doctors to hospital administrators.

Managed and directed the scoping and design phase of two Web projects simultaneously, starting with eight weeks of design iteration sessions, worked with external teams such as architecture and application development, and managed the 3rd party relationship with multiple vendors brought in to support the requirements and design phases of the project. One project used the SDLC/Waterfall methodology and the other was using Agile/Scrum. Worked as a liaison with the business to track issues/risks and action items that will apply directly to the requirements documents currently being created.

2009 –2011, Denver, Colorado and San Diego, California Contract started as a three-month project to implement JDA software, and management extended my contract to nearly three years due to ability to complete projects on time. Monitored and directed project delivery performed by the Supply Chain Vendor, JDA and the various IT groups needed, (e.g. development, operations, testing, etc.), to ensure business expectations are met exceeded. Deployed the two phases of the JDA application in support of Sales & Operations Planning process improvements for the Supply Chain group at Cricket. Managed the coordination between four different applications and dozens of interfaces and the timing of them all for the second phase. Managed the requirements tracking, coordinating between the business users, the developers, the vendors and the QA team. Managed the UAT phase and defect resolution. Successfully implemented the number one project (Billing) and working with the back end reporting for the credit card reports, for the Revenue Assurance team and managing the front end defects with the IVR and other front end issues. This part of the project utilized the SaaS methodology. Managed the first iteration of the LTE 4G network implementation for Cricket Communications.

Successfully implemented new T-Mobile rate plan that was deployed in conjunction with the new phone the “Shadow”. Inherited project when half way through and engaged the engineering staff to support and fulfill needs. Worked with the business/analysts in the initial phases for Dynamic Order Management, DOM. Inherited project that has a vendor implementing third party software, JDA which bolts on the SAP, during the testing cycle. Managed issues and coordinating the resolutions –resolved issues and deployed business applications on time. Worked with the talent acquisition (HR) team to being in TALEO as a tool that they would manage as an SaaS methodology. Managed budgets of 3.9M and over.

Produced performance reporting by product and region, including stack ranking and trending charts. Managed sales reports that soon became mainstay of the company for analyzing data products. Created a weekly e-mail distributed to all sales leaders and Regional VP's with key results of products, including attach rates, comparisons to prior month numbers, targets, and transactions. Led collaborative effort by Mobile Multimedia Solutions (MMS) marketing to compile overview presentations, complete with priorities, new product launches, sales results and tools/compensation news on a monthly basis. Created internal website that quickly became a valuable tool for the entire team, resolving the difficulties surrounding document sharing, and document storage. Managed, coordinated and designed the entire creation process, from securing the space, to creation and maintenance of the entire password protected website.
