Lead Ux Designer, Strategy
Greater Seattle Area
As a UX strategist, I led user-centered design initiatives within a dynamic environment, leading multiple design squads (2-4 designers each) in the creation of impactful digital experiences and design solutions. My role encompassed supporting projects from conception to completion starting by collaborating with product managers and business owners to define project scope and objectives, then developing detailed project plans, supporting the day-to-day operations and ensuring their successful execution. I fostered a culture of collaboration and mentorship, providing ongoing guidance and support to designers, facilitating agile responses to challenges, and championing user research to inform design decisions. To maximize the impact and longevity of our work, I prioritized delivering actionable recommendations and documenting research findings and design solutions. This ensured that our efforts could be readily referenced and leveraged by future teams.Beyond leading project teams, I also spearheaded my own strategic initiatives, ranging from short-term solutions to long-term (3-5 year) visions for Climate's FieldView platform, a digital farming management software. These initiatives varied in scope, from enhancing individual features to designing entirely new digital experiences. To foster a shared understanding of our users, I also developed valuable tools such as customer segmentation frameworks and Job-to-be-Done statements for the broader product team.A key focus of my role was to continually refine and optimize the UX process for my team. This included developing and implementing standardized workflows, creating design tools to enhance efficiency, and establishing documentation practices. I am also passionate about mentoring and empowering junior designers, providing them with the support, feedback, and opportunities they need to thrive in their careers.
