I have an interdisciplinary background in the social sciences and my work is inherently boundary-spanning. My work lies at the intersection of socio-ecological transitions, food production and consumption systems and organisational and critical theory. I am interested in how to drive change towards equitable and ecologically harmonious food systems. My purpose as an academic is to foster positive change through research, and I am passionate about engaged approaches which enable collaborating with stakeholders and influencing policy and practice.My recent work has explored issues of food labour, marginalisation, and power in food systems, and leverages insights from collaborations with farmers, third-sector organisations, and policy makers. I am a critical engaged qualitative scholar. I have used various approaches including multimodal critical discourse analysis, semi-structured and life history interviews, participant observations and other participatory methods.
