Annette is an independent policy consultant with two decades of experience working to advance the economic security of people and thriving communities. Annette conducts policy research and analysis on the fundamental elements and measures of economic security such as wages, jobs, housing, health care, education and food, structural pathways/barriers to racial and gender equity, income and wealth building, and the future of employment as well as other labor market, tax and budget issues. She works in partnership with local, state, and national organizations to develop policy solutions, inform public debate, and advance change. She provides big picture vision, technical issue expertise and strategic assistance as well as project and grant management and support. Annette’s work with foundations, non profit policy organizations and coalitions often includes designing and launching initiatives as well as supporting their forward progress. Annette currently serves as the Pacific Northwest Program Officer for the Asset Funders Network, (www.assetfunders.org). She also works as a Senior Policy Consultant to the Insight Center for Community Economic Development (insightcced.org).Annette’s organizational partners have also included the University of Washington West Coast Poverty Center, The Northwest Area Foundation, Strategies to Eliminate Poverty Project, the Seattle Foundation, FutureWorks, The Working Poor Families Project, City of Seattle, and what is now the Guinn Center for Policy Priorities in Nevada. Annette has served as an independent consultant since 2005. Prior to her time as a consultant, Annette focused on job quality and workforce development initiatives with the Seattle Jobs Initiative and with the Economic Opportunity Institute where she launched and led the National Transitional Jobs Network. She holds a Masters of Public Administration from the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs.
