In addition, I completed hydraulic design work for all five districts including bridge modeling, scour calculations and riprap layouts, and culvert and irrigation design. I also designed three stream restoration projects. Many of the projects have required floodplain development permits, which I obtained. I also reviewed projects that have come through Consultant Design.Other tasks I have worked on to assist the Hydraulics Section as a group include: • Working on the redline of the existing MDT Hydraulics Manual and the proposed manual’s outline. Other work on this task included reviewing other states manuals to help determine the direction for the MDT manual. • I originated and organized the “Brainshare” for our group, in which a member of our team teaches the rest of the group a technical skill he or she knows and that would be useful for others in the group.• I set up webinars and training courses.• I was active in the review and submittal of comments to DNRC on their model floodplain ordinance.
