Creatively and analytically uphold and sustain educational goals and objectives that meet intellectual, emotional, and social needs of each student. Educational leader of the school with direct responsibility for the administration of its educational programs including: long-range goals and curriculum design and delivery, maintains continuous accreditation, teacher evaluations, community relations, finance, and personnel. Coordinates and/or supervises school co-curricular and extra-curricular activities such as: student leadership, field trips, performing arts, assemblies, school publications, and fundraising. Motivates and encourages staff by serving as an instructional coach, mentor, and cheerleader. Develop and/or facilitate professional development and parent seminars related to bullying-versus-conflict, Positive Discipline, and trauma and grief in children. * Facilitate monthly professional development to 114 Certified School Counselors to ensure positive growth of the district Comprehensive Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program and compliance with state mandated Continuing Education Unit hours for Professional Counselors* Provide confidential supervision and consultation services to 114 Certified School Counselors who serve over 45,000 students across 50 campuses. Advise counselors seeking consultation related to legal and moral ethical dilemmas involving students, faculty, and staff. Manage the district Flight Team of 30 Trauma and Loss Grief Counselors and provide on-site leadership during campus crisis situations.* Procure a highly selective counseling pool by reviewing over 200 school counseling candidate applications and conducting approximately 60 interviews to fill an average of 12 FTEs each year. Create annual department staffing allocations for 50 campuses that align with district budgetary parameters and take into consideration the unique needs of each school.* Deliver impeccable customer service to parents, students, faculty, and staff who present social, emotional, academic, and career related concerns.
