TfA Project Group is a diverse, multi-disciplinary project management, design and engineering company that provides a “one stop shop” to its clients. Our boutique firm is unique through its expertise and experience, taking projects from inception to commissioning and handover. As part of the team at TfA my role is diverse which makes every day exciting. I manage the financial requirements of the company and HR management. I am part of the leadership team providing ongoing support to the Directors. With my events management background I am able to hone my event skills to manage the social aspects of TfA, marketing and the general day to day operational aspects of head office.

Event Management & Consultancy Services

Short-term Freelance Contract producing several key events for the City & South Bank portfolio. These events were:G20 Global Café – 12 & 13 NovemberIn the lead up to the G20 World Leaders Summit, the Global Café was staged at Brisbane City Hall showcasing an array of professionals in their fields including technology pioneers, scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers, inventors and new-world thinkers. I facilitated the food truck vendors event in King George Square to service delegates attending the G20 Global Café in Brisbane City Hall over two full days. My on the ground event role was to oversee the registration of over 3,000 delegates and be the main ‘go-to’ person for any challenging delegate enquiries.Media Launch – CBD & South Bank Christmas Program – 21 NovemberA media launch was staged at the Queen Street Mall main stage showcasing a number of entertainment elements giving the residents of Brisbane a snapshot of what was in store for the 12 day Christmas program across the City & South Bank. Lighting of the Christmas Tree – 28 NovemberThe Lighting of the Christmas Tree officially launches the beginning of Christmas for the CBD.Christmas at South Bank – 12 – 24 DecemberWorked closely with the events and marketing team at South Bank to deliver a 12 day Christmas program which included a 12 day Christmas market, 6 evening shows in The Courier-Mail Piazza, nightly movie screenings at Streets Beach and a fireworks spectacular on the river across four nights.City Welcome Festival – 28 February The largest international student inclusion event which commences with a Friendship Ceremony officiated by the Lord Mayor. The event showcases over 60 exhibitors including education institutions, transport providers, banks, public transport services, community engagement groups, sporting groups and student accommodation providers. The event which was staged in the Cultural Forecourt, South Bank Parklands and was attended by over 7,000 patrons.

General Manager for j2 ideas & events and Senior Events Producer. General day to day management of j2 including the project management of the team. Management of own portfolio of clients events including event conceptualisation, all logistics and operations associated with the nature of the event, budget management, supplier negotiation and management, entertainer liaison and contract management, event sponsorship relation management, on-line database registration systems, all risk and WPHS event requirements. In addition, managed the day to day company administration.

During this period I was still freelancing as an Event Coordinator but established a mobile bookkeeping service whilst the children were young. My client database was approximately 30 small business owners.

Instrumental role negotiating and contracting both national and international entertainers for the eight concerts held on the Brisbane river as part of the RiverConcert Series.
