I am a Domestic Violence Advocate at Consejo Counseling & Referral Service, where I use my bilingual communications skills to target and serve different communities, and to create relationships by being an advocate or a voice for them. I am passionate about improving the interactions between law enforcement and diverse community members, and I seek to apply my crime prevention skills to achieve this goal.I was also a Data Analyst for the Complex Social Interaction Lab at Washington State University, where I contribute to the research on the themes and patterns of interactions between law enforcement and communities. I have coded numerous hours of video footage from body worn cameras, focusing on traffic stops, driving under the influence, and domestic violence cases. I use my statistical data analysis skills to identify and quantify the factors that influence the outcomes of these encounters, such as language, tone, body language, and cultural background. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science, with the intention of positively impacting the criminal justice community.
