I wrote a weekly column, "Kitchen Diary: Anne in South Carolina," and currently contribute posts about my tips, tricks, and habits in the kitchen, and cooking for a family (which I try to do, at least on the nights we don't order pizza). I particularly love writing about etiquette related to food and parties and watching the comments unfold.

I cover a variety of lifestyle topics, and I got pretty good grades on my papers in school, even the ones for science, so I'll be glad to write whatever you need. Clean copy makes life easier for everyone. I’m a regular contributor on southern Living and theKitchn.com, which brings me back to my first love, writing about cooking and homemaking.In Columbia, I've written for Free Times, Free Times Family, Columbia Living, Edible Columbia, The State's supplemental magazines (including Jolie and the now defunct Downtown & U), Columbia Metropolitan, Carolina Bride, and more. (So, all of them.)

I began writing for Free Times as a food and recipe columnist in 2008. Now I am a regular contributor, covering a variety of local topics. I am also a regular contributor to Free Times Family, the alternative weekly's bi-monthly supplemental magazine.

After five years, in August of 2013, the Shop Tart joined forces with Fig Columbia, where this blog is now hosted. The Shop Tart is a fun resource for people in the Columbia, South Carolina area interested in food, beauty, style, shopping, events, charity, culture, and anything else they might do for fun. I created the website, and am responsible for all of the writing, editing, social media, photography, communications, and scheduling.

This job was awesome. I will be forever thankful to iVillage for making it easy for me to earn a paycheck with a couple of babies on my lap and in my hair. Also, I learned everything I know about coding and technical issues from answering reader questions.
