Experienced Principle Scientist within pharmaceutical research and early development. Vital part of symphogen's antibody generation platform. Responsible for single cell sorting of B-cells from different organs and animal species and screening and validation of antibodies for selection of lead candidates. Worked 25 years in different function areas at Novo Nordisk A/S. Throughout my career I have focused on both the technical as well as the administrative aspects of the project tasks. I have developed very competent personal skills to meet challenges of collaboration and documentation. I have profound experience from life cycle management of rabbit monoclonal platform (responsible for establishment of procedures, production and screening of antibodies for use in-house by Research, CMC or Preclinical Development and analysis of data and report writing). I am used to manage people in smaller technical scientific groups through the process towards a common goal and I always have a good grasp of the steps necessary to reach all important milestones in due time. I am experienced in efficient cross-functional activity coordination from project work including global collaboration (i.e. Beijing and Seattle). I take responsibility and I am logical and systematic, pleasant and honest and thrive both on my own and as part of a team.

Always completed by study reports. In collaboration with other colleagues, set up an antibody platform to generate rabbit monoclonal antibodies. Responsible for input to databases, for tracking and storing of data, physically set up instrumental procedures for generating the antibodies and daily communication and coordination of all the steps necessary to produce the proper antibodies, select the leads and eventually secure storage of all information in protocols, reports and databases. Compare different screening technologies and screening instruments in the department to ensure continuous optimal performance and highest efficiency possible. Included as cLean initiative. Implement Facs sorting procedures for selection of Ab-producing cells with high productivity, selection of high expressing cell lines and selection of cells producing high affinity mAbs. Ensure that Facs users in the function are up to date with the necessary Facs technology knowledge (by lectures and hands-on training).Built up and coordinate an in-house human Beta-cell project looking for T-cell reactivity in Diabetes type 1 (collaborate with international laboratories and institutions on different cells and antigens). Part of a worldwide examination of GAD65 as putative auto antigen in Diabetes type 1. (conclusions eventually included in a joined report).Plan, manage and coordinate courses in Immunology by external immunology lectors for the function area. Supervisor for master students (immortal Beta-cell lines and T-cell reactivity in Diabetes). Show less -
