Recently undertook an extensive review and analysis of boarding provisions within Independent Schools in BC, Canada and select oversees endeavours for the Ministry of Education.Completed the BCSTA Learning Guide, serving as coordinator and editor-in-chief. The Learning Guide is provided to BCSTA member boards of education and their individual member trustees (and staff) as a resource to support their work in all aspects of their roles, both formal and informal. The Guide provides a solid foundation of knowledge and skills on which successful governance, oversight and advocacy can be built.Supported Superintendent searches for SD52(Prince Rupert) and SD51(Boundary)Worked extensively in the area of Early Childhood Development, collaborating with community partners to develop, enhance and sustain initiatives that impact children's success. Revelstoke's children are consistently the least vulnerable in the province, as measured by the EDI. Currently serving on the Provincial Child Care Council supporting the Minister of Children and Families and the Columbia Basin Trust Social Advisory Committee. Coordinated the design and development of the Province's first two Neighborhood Learning Centers. Considerable expertise in community engagement, consultations and partnerships. Completed a review the Abbotsford School District's Community Partnerships. Developed an Education Plan for the Resort Municipality of Sun Peaks.Collaborated to develop and sustain a comprehensive Community Literacy Plan. Currently serving as Chairperson of Decoda Literacy Solutions.Experienced in all aspects of labour relations in the K-12 sector. Member of the Provincial Bargaining Team, supporting BCPSEA, for the 2013-2019 Provincial Teachers' Collective Agreement.Piloted and implemented three waves of the Human Early Partnership Middle Years Development instrument to determine grade four students' well-being. Currently serving on the Provincial Middle Years Advisory Committee supporting the Human Early Partnership at UBC. Implemented a community initiative around parent information on screen time - called 'Screen Smart' - www.screensmart.bc.ca.
