Trained extensively in various de-escalation techniques for use with oppositional and aggressive behaviors including Crisis Prevention Institute's physical restraint training for non-violent crisis management.Recognized for leadership qualities, was chosen to attend weekly training intended for supervisors after only a few weeks past hire date. Given committee responsibilities such as house lead for the activities committee. Responsibilities included planning and budgeting all non-academic activity programming for the residents. Took special care in designing activities that were strengths based, integrating the interests of the residents with their treatment goals and developed pathways for residents towards positive community integration.Worked with families to address any concerns and questions with diplomacy and endeavored to ensure appropriate channels of communication were kept flowing between families, therapists, and milieu staff. Collaborated on treatment goals with youth and their families, counseling them regarding challenges and conflicts with considerations towards reunification to their home environment and communities.
