I am a partner and board member at The Bailey Group, a for-profit private company. We enable leaders and their teams to create healthier workplace cultures, greater personal fulfillment, more meaningful work, better financial results, and improved organizational outcomes.Over 20 years ago, I read The Bailey Group's messages on leadership and was struck by the importance they placed on developing leaders. I was honored to be asked to join The Bailey Group in 2021 as an Executive Coach, an Advisory Team Member two years ago, and in 2024, delighted to become an owner. As a Medtronic executive, I was the VP HR of the $6B global Cardiac Rhythm business, where I was selected to be trained as an internal coach for high potential employees, as part of my leadership development. It was invigorating to coach mid level leaders, growing their self awareness and increased leadership impact, with the complementary benefit of their career ascension. I believe leaders who embrace personal growth are immensely more effective at propelling healthy and sustainable organizational success. True leadership is in service of the organization beyond oneself – it is in service of the mission, values, and the organization’s and team’s development and growth.
