After finishing high school, Annia and her family moved to Texas where she studied Marketing at the University of Texas RGV. After graduating, Annia moved to Austin, Texas to begin her professional career where she worked for the Texas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and where she surrounded herself with corporate professionals who represented their companies in the growing Latino market in the United States.
