I am a senior advocate, public affairs specialist and creative communicator. I have defended rightsholders for 20-years and I am passionate about tech for the common good.My strengths 💪🏼🔸 Mastering the ‘EU Bubble’ official and informal channels, building trust and forging strong networks.🔸 Translating complex policy and legal challenges into accessible solutions.🔸 Uniting diverse stakeholders to find common ground and amplify collective voices.🔸 Spearheading innovative initiatives for societal progress, resilient in the face of challenges. My journey 👣Since 2018, I am a Public Affairs and Communication Director, advocating for the interest of 34 collective management organisations in 26 countries representing authors' rights. European screenwriters and directors' main concern is the impact of the digital environment, online platforms and the emergence of Gen-AI on their livelihood. In response, I align policy content with clear messaging to inform EU decision makers on how to address copyright, media policy and cultural diversity within the modern digital market. Before, I spent 8 years as the ‘spider in the web’ of a leading network of social NGOs. In this capacity, I provided policy analysis and advocated for social rights and equality on behalf of 50 European organisations. I engaged with high level EU officials and politicians, trade associations and other interest groups. Concurrently, I completed my university degrees in international migration. As I was departing, I spearheaded efforts to promote digital inclusion, exploring how technology can advance social justice and contribute to societal changes. A decade of experience with civil society and human rights led me to move to Brussels in 2010. The year before, I was a programme manager advocating for sexual and reproductive health and rights during the Swedish EU Presidency. I was offered the role thanks to my experience working for the Swedish LGBT federation, which was where I started my career in 2005. As the right hand to the President, I learned the ins and outs of advocacy and policymaking. I drafted positions, met with ministers, MPs and prominent experts. As a student, I engaged in activism and volunteer work. I started as a youth leader within the local community, then as a regional peer-to-peer speaker in schools and soon I immersed myself in various board positions and managing diverse national projects.Outside of work, I embrace Brussels’ vibrant culture, enjoy science and tech podcasts, scribble on a book project and support Parsd (an AI tech start-up).
