Thailand

Nan Province, Thailand; Bangkok, Phitsanulok, Chiang Mai, Koh Yao Noi and Siem Reap (Cambodia)-Liaison, field coordinator, guide, translator, logistics manager, cultural advisor, and volunteer English teacher with 2 American volunteer teachers for about 2 months. --I would act as a go-between for our Thai hosts in different locations, and particularly the Thai teachers in Nan province. -Most of our time was spent in Nan Province, during which my role was more of a teacher, translator, liaison, and coordinator; the last part was spent traveling, in which I was more of a coordinator, translator, and logistics planner. -Nan: Stayed at teacher's home and conducted English classes/camps at Don Moon, Tha Wang Pa, and Song Kwae schools in different cities/towns. --We collaborated with local teachers on daily lesson plans and/or day-long English camps in what they thought the students' needs were. -Skills: Leadership, initiative, planning, compromise, Thai language, teaching, local knowledge.
