At First Class Support, I completed a comprehensive Financial Planning training program. I learnt how to deliver advice strategy and rationale for clients in the fields of investment, super, insurance, and tax. I developed an understanding of the day-to-day operations of a financial advisory firm, with first-hand experience in the advice process. I assisted the BDM in continuing improving the program for future interns. The program covered- Researching products and preparing Product Comparison Checklists- Client and advice document management- Development of superannuation, investment, mortgage and retirement strategy- Comprehensive understanding of insurance strategy, including features and benefits- Comparing and quoting existing and proposed insurance products- Investment portfolio construction- Comprehensive cash flow calculations

The main role I was involved in was meeting clients and providing financial advice to meet their financial objectives. Particular areas of advice that our clients seek included investment planning and risk protection. I was also on duty to plan and hold marketing activities and events to develop the client base and to maintain relationships with clients. After a short training, I had been migrated to Shanghai to establish Shanghai Representative Office and support chief representative to develop business in China.
