I am an external affairs, campaigns and communications leader with extensive experience in international civil society and education organisations. I am passionate about delivering impact for causes I care about through strategic stakeholder, media and audience engagement. I love starting out with big aims, the more ambitious the better, and drilling down into what needs to be done to get there and who I need to bring on board. My campaigns work is always community focused, and I work hard to mobilise the people who are directly affected by the issues I work on. Working with others is what really brings me joy and I focus on building strong, empathetic and productive relationships. The causes that are most close to my heart are LGBT+ rights, equity for underrepresented groups globally and tackling climate change.My successes include:- Initiating and leading an equality and diversity strategy to open my organisation's scholarships up to a more diverse range of people worldwide and improve support offered to those from underrepresented groups. 88% of international partners agree that this project has helped them attract a more diverse range of applicants.- Initiating and leading a campaign, in collaboration with a coalition of international scholarship programmes, encouraging our global alumni to pledge action against climate change. To date, the campaign has attracted almost 2,000 pledges from alumni working across government, civil society and the private sector.- Leading a media engagement campaign in India which received coverage in 86 separate media outlets and reached an estimated 690 million people.- Leading a highly successful cross-sector campaign to secure UK government funding for study abroad post-Brexit, with a focus on ensuring the most disadvantaged students have the opportunity to gain international experience. - Leading the development and delivery of a groundbreaking study into international graduate outcomes.
