Primarily responsible for influencing and directing the Payroll, and Tax and Accounting to achieve operational excellence and to define the strategy for enhancing cost-effective client delivery. This responsibility includes creation of new processes or improvement of processes through projects and continuous improvement initiatives, as well as performing, monitoring, measurement and oversight of existing processes. Currently accountable for the following by performing, delegating or collaborating as required to achieve the desired outcomes:- Identify and implement best practices consistently across client teams to improve reliability.- Build sustainable, differentiated capabilities through proven solutions, deep content expertise and focused innovation.- Provide expert analysis and recommendations to resolve Payroll issues and to design solutions.- Network with Payroll operations to identify and adopt best practices and emerging solutions.- Meet with clients to develop and share strategy for next generation deployment.- Conduct or direct others in problem analysis, ad-hoc queries, root cause analysis and preventive actions in response to incidents or issues arising from delivery of services audits and investigations.- Deliver current state assessments of systems, processes, data and controls to confirm effectiveness, or identify improvements required to systems, processes and oversight.- Ensure appropriate controls are in place to meet all legislative, control and audit requirements.- Promote integration between Payroll, Tax and Accounting, including T&A and Workforce Administration as well as Benefits, in order to support the Business Unit Leaders.Qualifications:- Completion of Canadian Payroll Compliance Practionner certification (PCP)- Deep Knowledge of Canada and USA Payroll (Federal and Provincial legislation)- Advanced knowledge of managing payroll systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP HR, etc.
