Working alongside researchers to collect data on Bottlenose Dolphins in the Gulf of Alghero, this includes analysis work with GIS, photo identification and acoustics. Additionally, to collect this we work alongside an ecotourism operation, which involves working on a boat, conducting informative presentations to tourists as well as guided snorkeling.

In this role I worked at a research centre on a game reserve in South Africa to assist with data collection and analysis on a variety of wildlife. This included the habituation and behavioral observations of a wild troop of Chacma Baboons, as well as camera trap work with animals from Aardvarks to Hyenas. I gained skills such as animal identification using DigiKam, as well as developing my excel skills through data collection and input. During this role I also had the opportunity to assist with the relocation of White Lions and Buffalo.

Analysed and extracted relevant qualitative and quantitative data from scientific papers and journals about the co-operative breeding habits of birds and mammals. Involved consistent communication and networking with a team that included senior scientific researchers and associates from international universities.

Educated the public on various species of birds and other animals, demonstrating a developed understanding of the local wildlife on the reserve. This included monitoring and identifying a diverse range of animals, including Peregrine Falcons and Grey Seals. I worked within a team to ensure smooth daily running of the visitor centre and answering any queries that customers may have had.
