Currently working part time as a Registered Dental Nurse, Oral Health Educator and Dental Radiographer. My job role includes meeting and greeting patients, maintaining cross infection control, following HTM01-05 and CQC requirements, stock control, chair side support for dentist and hygienist, processing radiographs, completing audits, giving OH advice to patients, taking impressions, making mouthguards and bleaching trays and applying fluoride following the prescription of the dentist. I also ensure I follow correct policy regarding disinfection and transport of all impressions to laboratories, answer any questions and monitor patients, assisting with staff training and ensure my CPD is kept up to date.I also have receptionist experience including taking payments, cashing up, making appointments and liaising with laboratories to ensure lab work is received in time for patient appointments.I have a small amount of experience with implants, completing checklists and arranging implant appointments, nursing in aseptic conditions and assisting during implant placement and follow up appointments.A colleague and I have recently initiated a schools programme where we visit nurseries and schools to speak to children in the classroom about the importance of correct cleaning and healthy eating. An Assessor is responsible for the quality of the assessment that is being undertaken by theLearner. They will be occupationally competent and meet the requirements as stipulated bythe Awarding Organisation to undertake the confirmation of the assessment process for theLearner.Assessors have a responsibility to administer decisions based on Learnercompetence whilst demonstrating equality, reliability, authenticity and validity of evidence. The Internal Quality Assurer must sample a proportion of assessment decisions by qualified Assessors. The Internal Quality Assurer is also responsible and accountablefor arranging the checking and countersigning process .Internal Quality Assurers may only verify evidence they have not assessed.

Supporting the dentist in all aspects of patient care, this includes getting the appropriate instruments ready, mixing materials and ensuring patient comfort. I also take notes from dentists dictation for records and once the patient leaves, I decontaminate the surgery and sterilise all of the instruments.
