As a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), I am a trained professional who cares for newborn babies during their first 12 weeks (and often up to 1 or 2 years of age). My goal is to help new parents feel more confident caring for their newborns as a trusted parenting partner and ensure their newborns are healthy and thriving. SPECIALTIES:• Frequently retained by high-profile and high-net-worth families, including first-time parents, single parents, adoptions, surrogacy, and same-sex couples.• Collaborating with executive protection, fully staffed households, other NCSs, nannies, and doulas.• Extensive domestic and international travel with babies and newborns, including commercial airlines, private aviation, helicopters, and yachts. Accepted special assignments to provide expert childcare in extremely challenging situations:• 2002-2015 Foster parent for more than 20 children, ranging from preemie triplets to teens. Many of the children had special medical and emotional needs.• 2012: Consultant to Heart For Africa in Eswatini to help them design, set-up, hire and train staff for, and open a home for abandoned babies. To date they have rescued and raised over 300 babies.• 2015: Served as the Medical Support & Escort for conjoined twins from Uganda. Liaised with hospitals in Uganda, the United States, and the US Embassy to arrange the separation surgery. Escorted the infants and teen mother from Africa to the US before transferring care to the US medical team.• 2017: Medical Escort for previously conjoined twins traveling from USA back to Uganda. Liaised with hospitals in Uganda, the United States, and the US Embassy to arrange the separation surgery. Escorted the toddlers and their young mother from the US to Uganda before transferring care back to local hospitals and village leaders .• 2017 – 2018: Respite Therapeutic Foster Parent for a 7 year old with mental health concerns

Supervised startup and managed three orphanages with advanced medical facilities or abandoned and orphaned infants. Provided a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable children who may have otherwise been left without care. Advocated for the rights and well-being of abandoned and orphaned children in the local community and beyond.KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:• Successfully oversaw the care of up to 225 infants at a time, ranging from micro preemies to children up to 18 months old. Cared for over 1,000 infants over 9 years.• Hired and trained staff of 200+ nannies, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, doctors, play therapists, social workers, and administrative staff to provide medical care, education, and emotional support to the children.• Provided expertise in the medical management of premature infants as small as 1.4 lbs, infants with severe malnutrition, and various other special needs and medical conditions.
