-Pioneered a committee compiled of 12 community experts for a paired collaborative between Oswego SD 308 and Aurora University's MSW Program to enhance collaboration and improve communication-Conceived a pairing between the international organization, Human Library, and the community to engage community members in conversations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion-Launched the first-ever Social Justice Showcase Art Exhibition for students K-12 in the district to stimulate conversation, appreciation for perspective, inclusive understanding of human experience & likewise the creativity of each individual

-Revitalized awareness initiatives to increase participation, funding, and access, such as the polishing of the annual gala, which raised $4,700 more than the highest recorded fundraiser held previously-Trained and managed a team of 12 adult facilitators to lead mental health support groups-Launched an internship program that involved the hiring, task delegation, and leadership of 7 MSW students in the community-Collaborated with other community professionals on project development, such as community housing

At NAMI KDK, I use my skillset of community organizing, education, and advocacy work to bring free mental health resources to my community. I lead a Family Support Group once a month, I lead a peer-education group at the J.J.C., I am a help line responder, I am a leader presenter at the local schools in our Ending the Silence campaign, and I am a community facilitator. I go into the community to represent our organization and work to be a voice for mental health initiatives within the community.

I assist with the first drafts of writing legal documents and contracts, update the marketing for the company, and help maintain stability in the office through various tasks.

I help bridge the gap between nonprofit organizations in Iowa City and the students that attend the University of Iowa. I lead service events with Johnson County Crisis Center every week to not only help the community that their organization serves, but to also help students gain new perspective. I hold office hours and attend weekly meetings with other ambassadors to brainstorm more ways to help make an impact on the Iowa City community.

• Planned four fundraisers that raised over $20,000 total for our philanthropy, CASA. One virtual fundraiser alone raised over $6,000. • Fostered a relationship with our local CASA by meeting monthly, providing 15 gift cards to volunteers, and donating 100+ hygienic items to the kids they work with• Educated over 1,000 girls during sorority recruitment about what CASA is and what our organization does to help them

I led a team of restaurant servers, cooks, etc. in order to properly maintain the restaurant. I learned great community service, teamwork, and leadership through this position. I also learned how to order materials and food for the restaurant, keep track of some of the finances, and hourly sheets of each worker. I learned how to use budget sheets, excel, and different restaurant programming in order to properly run the restaurant.
