Active horse show volunteer in most equine disciplines. From Dressage Steward, Cross Country Jump Judge and FEI Stabling Security, I am available to volunteer for most positions (with the exception of Dressage Steward). With over 20 years experience working with volunteers, I love being one myself. I am very self sufficient and require little if any supervision.

I was officially classified as a Grade II Para Dressage Rider in April 2013 by the FEI and IPC. I have a neuro muscular disease called Charcot Marie Tooth, which causes muscle atrophy and loss of nerve function. This has caused loss of feeling in my lower legs, as well as muscle wasting in my hands. My horse Sapphire Jewel is a Quarter Horse out of the San Peppy line from the King Ranch. She and I have made a fantastic duo as we both have a lot of heart, passion, drive and just enough stubbornness to make it fun!

I had the honor of working with kind and compassionate men and women who chose to work in a private hospice environment. I was responsible for recruitment, training, scheduling and retention of volunteers. Managed over 150 volunteers, scheduled 56 shifts per week. Managed day to day operations of hospice home, ensuring maintenance, cleaning, yard work etc. were scheduled. Solicited donations for the home, made public appearances, televised interviews to enhance community awareness. If I became aware of a patients wish or the families, I tried to make their wish happen. From a bag pipe player to a pony ride on the property, I had a great deal of fun seeking out and finding something that would be a positive in the lives of someone who was in the dying process.
