As an upcoming graduate of the University of North Texas, my time as a Computer Science major has been nothing short of enlightening. These past years have given me experience in programming with both low and high-level languages, frameworks such as Expo, React, Bootstrap, collaborative teamwork using the Agile Software Development Life Cycle, and different types of software development. My current projects have me exploring Python, Javascript, NoSQL databases, application development, web development, and UX/UI. My current goals are leverage my skills in a full-time UX/UI or software development position.In my spare time, I enjoy learning new languages such as French, Mandarin Chinese, and continuing my studies in Spanish. Although I am a native Spanish speaker (Mexican-American), living in a predominantly English speaking environment left me with less practice in my native tongue, which I remedy through self-study and immersive online courses. I also enjoy playing video games, board games, card games, doing logic puzzles, and of course brain teasers. I love strategy games that get me thinking!As a Latina engineer, I aim to inspire my peers and the younger generations to strive towards their goals regardless of any educational, financial, or societal barriers. Through my professional career, I hope to have the opportunity to work on projects and develop services that will have global impact and provide new technology to populations around the world. I am passionate about creating user-driven applications that are creative and original yet accessible for everyone, regardless of ability, background, age, or skill with technology.
