I am the lead occupational therapist for the chronic pain management program (SIMP) at Northwest Return to Work. I help injured workers learn to manage their chronic pain and improve their function for better quality of life and to facilitate successful return to work. In this role, I am strengthening skills in physical disability and mental health, ergonomics, group management, team collaboration, teaching, and COTA supervision. I am savvy in navigation of the Labor and Industries system.

I worked as an occupational therapist in subacute rehab at Bethany at Pacific, a skilled nursing facility in Everett, WA.

Adult inpatient acute care, on medical/surgical and orthopedic units.

Level II physical disabilities fieldwork. Adult inpatient rehabilitation services, diagnoses including stroke, cardiac, organ transplants, oncology, neuromuscular, complex orthopedic, spinal cord injury, dementia, low vision, and comorbidities. Attended weekly in-service presentations and rehab team meetings. Presented case study to OT team.

Level I pediatric fieldwork. Inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services; orthopedic, neuromuscular, developmental, and genetic diagnoses.

Level I older adults fieldwork. Individual and group home care services in a community-based setting.

Prepare and lead palpation lab lesson for a small group; prepare and lead exam review sessions for entire class.

Level I physical disabilities fieldwork with a hand therapy focus.

Level II fieldwork in mental health. Individual and group services at a residential facility for adults with DSM-5 diagnoses.

Level I mental health fieldwork, at a clubhouse style facility.
