Superpartners is a superannuation administration provider, acquired by Link Group in December 2014. Link Group is the largest provider of services in Australia's superannuation fund administration industry, servicing an underlying stakeholder base of over 10 million superannuation accounts.After my time in the travel industry I returned to a leadership role with Superpartners, managing an administration team and a call centre team. My time here was very intense as the workload was extreme and very challenging and having to manage the pressure and motivate the teams was difficult to balance. It was here at Superpartners that I was heavily involved with the HR team and developed a definite respect for the work they did in supporting me as a leader and I was involved with quite a few intense people issues regarding domestic violence and depression and anxiety. I developed a strong reputation as a people leader and was asked to change roles to the Call Centre to improve their engagement and performance, which I was successful in doing, and from here is when I began my maternity leave.

BTC was a successful travel agency that had shop locations all around Australia and London and was one of the earlier pioneers of the “Backpacker” industry. Unfortunately, it ceased trading due to the downfall of Ansett Australia and were sold to Backpackers World in 2002. My role began as a travel consultant and I left Melbourne for Sydney to fulfill a passion of mine, travel. I had been in the role for a few months when I was offered the role of assistant to the two directors which involved creating itineraries, balancing credit cards, organising appointments, diary handling, event organising, and organising the purchase of a home. An achievement for me was when I assisted with the set up and operation of a donation hotline to raise money for the victims of the Childers Palace Backpackers Hostel fire.When I moved back to Melbourne I was offered a role as the Human Resources Coordinator which mainly involved looking after staffing needs Australia wide. I rolled out ER policies and procedures and presented them at our yearly conference to all staff and I introduced a management reporting system and operated the roster system for all stores Australia-wide, I also assisted with the paperwork for TAFE training.

Colonial Mutual Life Insurance was demutualised in 1997 and then was known as Colonial and in 2000 became part of Commonwealth Bank of Australia. I was mainly involved in the New Business and Claims areas of their Life Insurance arm, but I also worked on the demutualisation project. Colonial was where I began my professional career and whom always sought me out when I returned from my travelling journeys. I was fortunate to have many mentors who guided my leadership career. I spent most of my time within the Life insurance area and left to pursue my passion at the time, traveling, twice, until I eventually left in 1999 to pursue a career in the travel industry. As a team leader I was involved in setting plans to achieve set KPI's, performance management including performance appraisals, coaching and mentoring, recruitment (selection and interview process) complaint resolution and reporting. I also was involved in project work and in assisting with the implementation of their workflow management system.It was here at Colonial that I was first exposed to recruitment and I really enjoyed the process of interviewing and discovered that I had a real desire to see people reach their career goals but the call to become involved in the travel industry was stronger at the time.
