My more recent experience as a yoga teacher and volunteer with the Centre for Community, Clinical and Applied Research Excellence (University of Waterloo) has equipped me with anatomical and exercise knowledge.Due to various past work experiences, I have acquired many technical skills due to my background in science and program development skills after completion of a graduate degree in public health. My work in federal and local public health settings has prepared me for employment at multiple levels of government. In particular these roles have allowed me to use and further develop a number of my skills, including communication, stakeholder engagement, data management and analysis, program planning and evaluation, project management, and group facilitation. I am also familiar with the models of evidence-informed public health and decision making, particularly with their application in a local public health unit setting.
