My responsibilities included providing planning and evaluation support for portfolios of the Tobacco and Cancer Prevention Team; promoting shade principles and policies for UVR exposure prevention, advocating for and promoting smoke-free policies in multi-unit dwellings, and increasing cancer screening intentions in priority populations.

I was involved in a FoodNet Canada project that looked at using the opinions of experts to inform the source attribution of enteric illness in Canada. My responsibilities included analyzing qualitative data, interpreting and synthesizing the results, and subsequently communicating my work to my supervisors, stakeholders, and other researchers through presentations and reports. My responsibilities included providing 24-hour live-in care for individuals with physical disabilities: personal care, preparation of meals and house upkeep.

I was involved in a conservation project that looked at the Blue Crab nursery potential of estuaries in Chesapeake Bay using aspects of biogeochemistry. My responsibilities included preparing crab samples for C/N isotope analysis (grinding and acidification) and microwave acid digestion of samples for trace metals analysis using ICP-OES and ICP-MS. I presented my work to the SERC community.

I provided project support for a postdoctoral fellow, and assisted postgraduate students in their thesis research. My responsibilities included fieldwork organization and execution (benthic and surface water sampling and mussel experiments), chemical and nutrient analysis, data processing, lab maintenance, settling velocity experiments, and waste management.

My responsibilities included conversing with University of Waterloo alumni to inform them of services offered to them by the institution, as well as to persuade them to give donations for fundraising projects.

I learned how to use analytical chemistry to test various samples, product and effluent, from the pulp production process for quality assurance and for the purposes of environmental waste control. I was also exposed to the research and development of applications for pulp. This contract culminated with my producing a report that summarized my work experience.
