DirectorMorphut Ltd. Jan 2011 - PresentShropshireBorn from a love of micro buildings and a need, with the onset of the recession, Spacescapediversified, creating Morphut Ltd to design and build small smart timber buildings calledMorphuts and MorphPODs. Alongside micro-buildings that are modular and multi-functional,Morphut Ltd also offers landscape design and planning services to enable integration intothe environment. MorphPODs & larger contemporary cabins called Morphuts provide for a multitude of uses such as small homes, fishing lodges, garden rooms, education facilities, extreme sports, studios, camping pods and offices. Currently I am focusing on alternative marketing strategies particularly via social media and creative collaborations with our partners, accommodation business Brandy House Farm. We are embarking and documenting a unique retrofitting project of an existing MorphPOD and designing an off-grid heating system to show that this type of accommodation can morph to a new use. We are designing and building a further 3 showcasing MorphPODs, and have just had planning approved for 3 Morphut cabins.
