Completing a Master of Education in School Guidance Counselling demonstrates my deep commitment to empowering and supporting students’ holistic development. I believe that every young person deserves guidance and support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This degree represents my commitment to equipping myself with the knowledge and skills needed to empower students to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their goals. As a guidance officer, I aspire to create a safe and inclusive space where students feel heard, valued, and empowered to navigate life's transitions with confidence and resilience.

In returned to work in 2020 after having spent 2019 caring for my first child. I gained a part time position at Our Lady or Lourdes and had access to all professional development that was offered to staff on current teaching and learning. After spending 2021 caring for my second child I returned to work in a supply teaching capacity. I was fortunate enough to gain many days at various Catholic Education primary schools and built many relationships with leadership and teaching staff.In 2023, I was again fortunate to spend the year caring for my third child. In 2024, I have commenced my Masters in Education, School Guidance and Counselling through QUT, Kelvin Grove while also providing supply days at various Catholic Education Schools.

Relief Teacher

Upon completion of a Graduate Diploma of Primary Education in 2014 and gained employment with Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton at Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School in Longreach. After a 12 month contract in my graduate year, I was made a permanent staff member and went from provisional registration to full registration. I taught for 2 years in the far west.
