I coordinate regional waste avoidance and resource recovery projects for the Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of councils (SSROC). SSROC is an association of 12 Sydney councils, including Bayside, Burwood, Canada Bay, Canterbury Bankstown, City of Sydney, Georges River, Inner West, Randwick, Strathfield, Sutherland, Waverley and Woollahra Councils. Together, our member councils cover a population of over 1.7 million, or one-third of Sydney’s population, and manage about 20% of all NSW household waste, giving us a unique opportunity to work together to help NSW transition to a circular economy. I've been at SSROC for over 5 years working on a diverse range of projects including: - Delivery and evaluation of a regional waste education workshop program - Developing a waste avoidance and resource recovery 2017-21 strategy for the SSROC region- A circular economy think tank series in partnership with NSW Circular and the UNSW SMaRT Centre to investigate opportunities to recover difficult items from the domestic waste stream including textiles and plastic containers- Textiles Recovery Action Plan for Sydney councils in partnership with WSROC, NSROC and the Australasian Circular Textiles Association- Designed a short course in assessing development applications for better waste and recycling outcomes in partnership with WSROC and the NSW EPA that has now been delivered for four years.

I provide support to organisations and community groups in delivering sustainability programs. I have extenisve experience in project management and community engagement and I can help design and deliver projects in the following areas:- Waste and recycling projects- Biodiversity and bushland restoration programs - Local food initiatives and community gardens- Engaging staff in sustainable work practices- Water and energy saving projects- School Environmental plans, kitchen gardens, environmental workshops and bushland excursions- Community engagement and volunteer management- Community workshops in green cleaning, composting and worm farming- Developing education materials- Coordinating environmental events including clothes swaps and National Tree Day.

Managing the roll out of a new waste and recycling system across all UTS buildings. This job involves engaging UTS staff to change their waste and recycling behaviours and separate their food waste for the first time. • Developing education material on waste and recycling at UTS including flyers, posters bin stickers, videos and web pages.• Run targeted workshops and presentations with each Faculty. • Developed evaluation measures and provide a comprehensive evaluation report.

- Developed and managed a community gardens program including developing a community gardens policy and application proces for new gardens; and providing advice, support and training to community garden groups. - Project managed the City Farm Feasibility Study which included a best practice review of city farms in Australia and provide recommendations on the most suitable site and governance model. - Coordinated the City's community greening program including providing support and materials to the Bushcare and Landcare groups.

Designed and coordinated community education programs in sustainable living including climate change forums, workshops, guided Eco tours and a comprehensive grant program that providing funding and training for school environmental projects.
