I am a Pushcart Prize nominated poet and was named one of Indiana's Best Emerging Poets for 2018. I write poetry and perform at public readings. During my tenure, I also completed Lushin sales training courses and promoted the DaMar brand during American Staffing Association events.

I collected, analyzed, translated, and presented historical data and literary research to the department, specializing in queer feminist literary theory and postmodern works. My projects have included Russian literature, Francophone film, and Vladimir Nabokov. My most recent examination of Octavia Butler's speculative fiction and its relationship to the #metoo movement is currently pending peer review for publication.

I edited, workshopped, and formatted student research and literary analysis, teaching the fundamental basics of MLA and APA documentation while adapting lessons to meet the individual writing styles of students. I tutored remedial English and English 100 undergraduate students, collaborating with professors to ensure student growth and development.

I edited and selected student and professional work to publish the campus literary journal annually, voting with journal staff to choose talented and crafted submissions. I organized two national writing competitions, networking with both student and regional authors to encourage submissions to the journal and to set up public author readings on campus. I also served as Poetry Editor for both volumes 50 and 51 and as Secretary of Staff for volume 52.
