About Annie Browne
Following a 35 year medical and teaching career I became a licensed clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist. I am registered with the General Council for Hypnotherapy Standards, (GHSC) and am practicing online worldwide. A keen golfer, and having a Sport Science degree, specialising in Sport Psychology, I help golfers with their ‘mental’ game. Many professional golfers have benefitted from hypnosis to help with their focus, concentration and stopping the negative thoughts that interfere with their game. I am working with amateur and professional golfers to do the same and bring their handicaps down.As a hypnotherapist, I help people to quit smoking in just one session and give a lifetime guarantee. With the Virtual Gastric Band weight loss programme I have helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds easily and effortlessly. I can also help sufferers deal with fears, phobias and anxiety and many other problems. As a qualified teacher I am also helping young people cope with exam stress.I went to Dubai in 2008 and was the Group Health and Safety Manager and Medical Officer for Fitness First Middle East for more than 8 years. I was also one of only 3 licensed World Rugby Medical Educators and Medics here in the UAE and was medic for the Mens 1st Team at Dubai Exiles for 3 years and also the club's Medical Officer.My experience in Safety extended to many industries including fitness, retail, hospitality, education, construction, oil and gas. I was particularly concerned with child safety and first aid at home and in schools and had developed a specialist course for Maids, Nannies and Parents. I am a Fellow of the Royal Society for Health (UK) and have published several articles in national newspapers, journals and other publications on safety and the importance of first aid training.

I joined HSS in 2010 and it still continues to be the best First Aid Training Centre in Dubai, having won 2 national awards for that category for 2018 and 2019. I conducted regular training sessions with the team and they were highly qualified First Aid and Safety professional instructors and consultants. I strongly believed in leading by example.We also did event cover providing medically qualified safety officers at large concerts, small and large events and film sets. I had 5 of the team on the set of Star Wars in 2016 for 5 months and was present myself for the 2 weeks of filming.

Responsible for Health and Safety system and procedure development and management across the whole of Fitness First Middle East in the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.Conducted First Aid (I am a licensed instructor with DCAS and HABC) and fire safety training in all clubs. Produced Health and Safety Policy, Procedure and Risk Assessment documents for use in all clubs to ensure that all daily checks and risk assessments are carried out.Conducted 6 month full safety audits with detailed reports and recommendations for improvements in all clubs. Reported audits to Club Managers, Heads of Operations and Senior Management as well as Landmark auditors.Responsible for all accident and incident investigation.Reduced the accident rate by 80% from 2008 to 2015Responsible for 76% of staff being trained in first aid which resulted in 12 successful resuscitations on members having heart attacks over the past 7 years.Was able to closely monitor the Ladies Only facilities.I made a difference!
