The responsibilities of the House Committee chair included coordination of different organizations and events for the community of 450, including resource efficiency programs, voter registration and publicity, house social events, discussion groups and panels, as well as being a representative for the house at university-wide events and projects.Within a semester of my leadership, membership of the House Committee quadrupled, and we were able to take on more challenging and exciting projects. This increase size has led me to develop different organizational methods for meetings and planning processes, as well as think deeper about team dynamics and morale. With the treasurer, I also manage a substantial budget and worked on grant writing and fundraising for house projects.

My summer as an intern at TeachStreet was one of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever had.Working directly with all of the leadership at the company I got a chance at being a jill of all trades. It was my first taste of working at a start up, and the fast pace and quick results were thrilling. I got a chance to work on everything, but most fulfilling to me was helping to develop a strong and sustainable community outreach program.
