Thank you for taking the time to peruse my Linkedin networking profile. I am currently studying a bachelor's in health sciences at Griffith university as a stepping stone to a postgraduate degree in medicine. The outcome that I hope to achieve through completion of this degree, is to prepare myself academically for the GAMSAT pre-admission exam, and to assist my entry into medical school to be as smooth as possible. I have a prior established medical background, after completing my diploma in enrolled nursing in 2013, and gaining a phlebotomy qualification simultaneously. It was during my early nursing studies that I discovered that I had a thirst for more knowledge as to how and why things work within the human body and, after much deliberation, I embarked on my current venture. During my time within the nursing profession, I have gained essential skills that are universally valuable within any workplace. These include:Enhanced time management skills - Adhering to a strict schedule of medication administrations, and patient demands, I quickly developed the ability to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of client care. The ability to thrive within a team environment - A major part of any role, nursing or otherwise, is teamwork. All my previous employment roles have required me to work well in a team, and this has shaped my work ethic in a way that falls back on these important principles. The drive to learn -Working within the medical industry requires constant learning and growing because there is always something new to discover. Remaining current is important in order to deliver the best outcome possible.
