Photographer and bestselling author, Annie Griffiths, was one of the first women photographers to work for National Geographic. She is the Founder of Ripple Effect Images, a non-profit that uses compelling storytelling to raise funds for organizations that empower women globally. During her time as Executive Director, Ripple raised more than ten million dollars for these programs. Annie's work has also been featured in LIFE, Geo, Smithsonian, Time, Stern, and many other publications. Her books include A Camera, Two Kids and a Camel and Last Stand: America’s Virgin Lands, done in partnership with acclaimed author Barbara Kingsolver. Proceeds from Last Stand raised more than a quarter million dollars for grassroots land conservation. Annie curated and authored the book, Simply Beautiful Photographs, which became a bestseller. She has received awards from the National Press Photographers Association, the Associated Press, the National Organization of Women, Heifer International, and the White House News Photographers Association. She is currently writing a memoir.
