Annie is a gender specialist, community builder, startup coach, and a food blogger with over nine years of experience. She is founder & CEO of Grow, a tech platform offering Digital services, i.e. Web development, Game development, 3D animations, digital marketing, and creative designing along with managing trainings. In her previous role as Coordinator for Gender Inclusive spaces with World Bank funded project, she mentored women-led businesses. She also worked with the UN Women in the tribal belt of Pakistan for the empowerment and economic uplift of women. During this assignment, she facilitated 11,000 women for SNIC registration, documented Gender based violence cases, and linked 965 women with service providers. Further, she had trained youth including women on digital skills under KP Youth Employment Program, powered by government and the World Bank. Additionally, she has worked as Business Mentor at Enterprise Challenge Pakistan, an initiative of Prince’s Trust International, to enable young girls of 13-16 years of age in setting up their own enterprises. On community level, she is Google’s Women TechMakers Ambassador & co-manager Google Developers Group Peshawar, to provide visibility, community, and resources for women in technology. She is also an official #IamRemarkable facilitator, an initiative for empowering women and underrepresented groups to speak openly about their accomplishments.

Gender & Inclusion ConultantUn Women Oct 2019 - Oct 2020- Facilitated 11,000 women in NMDs for SNIC registration (out of which 3600+ for Khyber District), through UN Women IPs, including organizing the necessary documentation required and arranging the increase in mobile units available from NADRA. - Facilitated and maintained strong coordination mechanism with UN partner agencies (FAO, UNICEF, and UNDP of KPMD), district administration and UN Women implementing partners relating to administrative matters for enhancement of information exchange and collaboration on district level to facilitate maximum women on district level. - Successfully linked 965 women, comprising of widows, orphans, disable, & poor, with different government departments, including, Zakat & Ushr, Sehet Insaf Card, Bait-ul-mal, Ehsas Program on district level.- Analysed the social, economic and legal constraints which are adversely affecting women towards economic participation and empowerment, social development and political development in newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. - Identified areas of potential future risk, that should be observed closely and make practical recommendations to enhance vigilance in these areas. - Facilitated regular structured dialogue in the community between the rights-holders and duty-bearers to ensure that women’s and girls’ voices are heard and considered in decision and policy-making processes - Supported and strengthened existing Women’s community Centers in four districts of NMDs, where trainings on social and hygiene were planned and organized for the betterment of women.- Conducted a mapping exercise in NMDs for identifying services availability for women in the region and establishing a strong coordination mechanism between organizations/departments. - Presented recommendations based on the analysis to help guide policymakers to contribute towards policy recommendations for women and girls from NMDs. -

Mentored young girls of SOS Village, Dhodial, Mansehra, regarding Entrepreneurial skills.
