MTS allows and encourages students to excel in all areas of training, with expert industry coaches helping develop the necessary skills, passion and mindset required for the business we call “show”.MTS Offers a Full accredited 2 year BTEC National Extended Diploma in Musical Theatre, 1 year full-time and part-time Intensive in Musical Theatre along side its current weekend & weekday Academy for younger students 3-25. MTS was founded in October 2018 by Annie Guy and has gone on to become one of the leading musical theatre academies in the North East. Students from MTS (#MTSTrained) have gained places at prestigious performing arts schools, colleges and universities such as ArtsEd, Mountview, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Laine Theatre Arts, Urdang, Guilford School of Acting, Bird College, LAMDA, Italia Conti, The BRIT School and many more.In 2022, MTS partnered with Olivier Award-winning West End production company DLAP Group and established a new 8-studio home at the Quayside Exchange building in the heart of Sunderland with state-of-the-art facilities for students and coaches alike, as well as a dedicated student space for self-reflection, study and rehearsal. A building that buzzes with adventure, energy and hard work – this will be the start of many student’s exciting journey into musical theatre training for years to come.MTS is also proud to offer exceptional and confidential pastoral care to all its students. The mental wellbeing of our students is as important as their physical wellbeing.
