The Editorial Director of Assessments is responsible for managing multiple projects in the edpub/ed tech assessment realm and utilizing market experience to create new assessment businessopportunities.

Plan assigned projects, direct their development, and ensure their high quality completion in accordance with schedule and budget.• Provide strategic direction for managing content development on an ongoing basis.• Manage the development of educational products, ensuring that the products meet Aptara and client quality and standards. Developed ELA and social studies curriculum using instructional design principles. Wrote and edited blueprints, grades 9-12 ELA and social studies courses, and video scripts that used storytelling techniques to engage young learners. Analyzed state and common core standards alignment.

Artemis, Ink., LLC, provided professional project and content management services; marketing and lead generation content; SEO optimization; blog copy; interviews with cybersecurity, tech and finance industry experts and influencers; internal communications, such as executive communications and white papers; and book, academic journal, and op-ed editing services to publishers, businesses, and individuals.

Reviewed and edited website copy; wrote and edited executive communications, white papers, announcements, newsletters, blog posts, and press releases; interviewed thought leaders in finance and tech industries; edited profiles of companies in manufacturing, finance, and tech industries. Wrote and edited various other internal and external communications.

Documented the diverse voices of the Women’s March on Washington. Conceived of and launched the project in mid-November, 2016. Published interviews with Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand; Tee Marie Hanible, twenty-year U.S. Marine veteran and co-star of True Grit, a FOX reality TV show; and Women’s March organizers Ebony Washington and Pam Campos of Common Defense. In addition, published interviews with more than 20 other women and men, as well as several photos essays documenting the Women’s March on Washington. In two months, we attracted 8,000+ site visitors and 900+ followers on Twitter @YRUMarching2017. The project is archived at the Sophia Smith Women’s History Collection at Smith College, the oldest and most prestigious women’s history archive in the U.S.

Co-owned boutique development house that contracted with dozens of clients and subcontractors; handled everything from bidding on jobs and procuring contracts to recruiting teams of creative professionals to creating editorial guidelines and managing projects. Developed hundreds of instructional textbooks, videos, booklets, etc. for major publishers such as Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Holt McDougal, Pearson, McGraw-Hill, etc.
